Charging while your car is not used is the backbone of EV convenience. It makes owning an EV a no-brainer for anyone with a home garage. However, it’s not so easy for those living in apartments or condominiums.
Communities in Charge is a program being administered in San Diego by Grid Alternatives to implement Level 2 charging where communities live and gather. Level 2 charging usually provides about 30 miles of range for each hour connected. It is ideal for overnight and workday charging.

The program features per connector benefits such as $3,500 of eligible costs and even an additional $3,500 for multi-family housing and tribal entities.
