May 2024 – Weaning the Home From Natural Gas

May 8 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

We’ve all been enjoying the electric vehicle driving experience. Now it is time to consider switching any gas appliances in our home to electric. Using gas to heat our home’s hot water is a major source of neighborhood air pollution. Heating homes with gas runs a close second as a polluter. While a gas stove may be a favorite of many chefs, they are a source of indoor pollution. It’s not like we need to immediately go cold turkey, but it is a good idea to switch when something needs replacing.

Colin Bovet of QuitCarbon will join us via Zoom to explain the advantages and process of switching to all electric. QuitCarbon is a company that provides expertise on projects, pricing and rebates. Could you benefit from a free home electrification plan?

Please REGISTER for the Zoom or join EVAoSD chapter president Keith at the Automotive Museum and have some pizza.

Please RSVP on Meetup if you are attending in person so we can reserve you a slice.
