DESCRIPTION:Join Us Wednesday\, August 10\,\n@ 6 pm on Zoom\nThis month’s guest speaker is Dr. Michael Stadler! \nSince July 2018 Dr. Michael Stadler has been the Chief Technology Officer of the San Diego based XENDEE Corporation\, which he co-founded. In this position he successfully commercialized Microgrid and renewable design methodologies from the Lab environment to a multi-million-dollar business that is now a world-wide leader in the Microgrid space. In this endeavor he and his team also received the prestigious Edison Gold Award in 2021. From March 2017 to December 2018\, he was the area head of the Microgrid and Smartgrid department at BEST/Bioenergy2020+ and responsible for the successful establishment of the Smartgrid and Microgrid research area that focuses on research that will be used and commercialized by industry partners. Before that Michael Stadler had been a Staff Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory\, California and leading the Grid Integration Group. He holds a Master’s degree in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. summa cum laude in economics. He is a recipient of the PECASE Award of the White House. The Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) is the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government on science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their independent research careers.
