SUMMARY:SANDAG Meeting on EV Chargers
DESCRIPTION:EV Association members have the opportunity to tell elected officials to support elected vehicle charging by providing public comments at the upcoming meeting of the San Diego Association of Governments. \nOn May 24th SANDAG will vote to allocate funds to an infrastructure rebate program that will support public electric vehicle charging in the San Diego region (see agenda item 14).  If SANDAG votes in support of Resolution No. 2019-17\, then the region could receive up to 23 million dollars from the California Energy Commission for a San Diego public EV charger program. \nSee the meeting agenda for more information and instructions on how to provide public comment on the agenda item.

EV Riders shares the cost of a mechanical shop among members who build\, convert\, and upgrade their own electric vehicles. \nCarl Yaeckel with Citizens Climate Lobby will present on a federal bill that proposes to combat climate change through a market mechanism called “fee and dividend.” Economists hail it as the least expensive way to address climate change. \nAbout the Meeting:  \nAre you new to electric vehicles? Interested in learning more about becoming an electric vehicle owner? Get your EV questions answered by long-time members between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM – before the meeting starts. \nRSVP for the event on Meetup to ensure we save you a seat. Space is limited. \nIf you RSVP and attend the meeting you will be entered in free raffle for a 24-hour Tesla test drive experience with a Model S or X.
